In a tragic turn of events, 18-year-old actor Kaylee Hottle, renowned for her role as Jia in the films “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” has died following a car accident in Maryland. The Texas School for the Deaf, where Hottle was a student, confirmed her passing with a heartfelt statement expressing condolences to her loved ones, peers, and the broader community that knew her.

The accident, which claimed Hottle’s life, occurred early on a Tuesday morning. According to local authorities, a 1995 Honda Accord veered off the roadway and collided with a culvert in Frederick, Maryland. Preliminary investigations suggest that excessive speed may have played a significant role in the crash.

Hottle was a passenger in the ill-fated vehicle and was swiftly transported to a nearby trauma center. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver, a 19-year-old, sustained injuries that were not deemed life-threatening, while another passenger in the car chose not to receive medical treatment.

Kaylee Hottle gained widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Jia, a young deaf orphan who shares a unique connection with Kong in the MonsterVerse series.
