A Priest is Murdered, A Detective is Baffled in ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ Teaser

The stage is set for a truly baffling mystery in the first teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The preview reveals the core conflict of the film: a Catholic priest has been murdered, and even the great detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) seems momentarily stumped, calling the case “impossible.”
The victim, played by Josh Brolin, is killed during Mass, a public act that leaves a church full of witnesses and potential culprits. The teaser is heavy on atmosphere, hinting at a story that will delve into dark secrets and hidden sins to find a killer hiding in plain sight.
The film features a remarkable cast of talent to play the various suspects, including Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, and Jeremy Renner. Daniel Craig’s detective also has a new look, with longer hair and a three-piece suit that adds to his enigmatic persona.
The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and is now heading for a wide release. Fans can catch the mystery in select theaters from November 26th or stream it on Netflix starting on December 12th.
